3D Design Project:

For this 3D Design Project I have decided to create something that I could use if it was actually made. I looked through lots of different ideas of people who have more experience with 3D modelling and printing than I do and I found a lot of really interesting and cool things that I could have never imagined could be made by a 3D printer. After looking through lots of ideas I decided to model my project after a creator who designed a box for video games to be stored in. I then took this idea and made it to hold Nintendo Switch games, which are notoriously small and easy to lose. In theory, this box would be very useful and could hold up to sixteen games with two in each slot. I found creating the design to be tough at first but once I got the hang of it, it went surprisingly well and could be completed quickly. I have embedded two photos, one of the top view and one of the side view so you can see how this box would work.

Multi-Access Learning / Blended / Flipped Learning Reflection:

I found the resources on the class website to be extremely helpful in understanding the concepts of Multi-Access Learning, Blended Learning, and Flipped Classroom Learning, most of which I was unfamiliar with prior to this week. I think that all of these forms of instruction should be explored by educators, especially during tumultuous times like during COVID. Giving students access to a learning environment and to learning materials should always be the goal of the educator no matter if the student can be physically in class or not. There are so many positives for each of these forms of instruction, mainly for students motivation and opportunities to learn and teachers should do their best to integrate in these methods when appropriate and when possible. Teachers should always be on the lookout for new ways that they can deliver information to their students and by exploring all of these methods they will also be able to find the method which works best for their students growth, both as academics but also as human beings. The only real negative which I can identify about most of these alternate deliver methods is the large amount of preparation and work that it could be for the teacher to do it successfully. This, while being a negative, is something which teachers should not shy away from though and I believe that it is a teachers responsibility to create the most effective and diverse learning opportunities to their students. Flipped classrooms have a unique negative however, in that it requires technology at home, which could be impossible for some students to have and thus they could not access the material. I have included more text resources, as well as videos which will inform readers more on what these deliver methods are and how they could be used within the classroom.
